Cotton thread, wood, iron, Arabic gum

The work represents the time around my mother's death from lung cancer in 2010. I reproduce the image of a lung by passing a vertical thread from top to bottom along a specially constructed frame. The single threads aligned in this way give the sensation of a uniform fabric, but the threads are moved by the air easily, perhaps when a person is passing by, and transformed into the image of decomposing lungs.
