Beeswax paintings on metal

Derreter is part of a series of encaustic paintings which depict both abstract forms and landscapes.

The works are made in beeswax on a metal support which heats up, if necessary, to melt them.

Behind each painting I have placed resistance at various places and, a few minutes after pressing a button, you can see a gradual transformation of the form. In this way the work becomes a unique, irreplicable meditative experience. Derreter wants to be a work to be destroyed, dissolved, transformed - not collected.
